A book shouldn't be judged by its cover
All agree? Yay or Nay?
I hear a surprising number of 'yay's for how much this happens.
If someone snaps at you, and you have never met them before
You assume them to be a mean person
That's not what the saying means
It means not to judge someone by what they look like
Let us replace the word 'book' with 'person'
A person should not be judged by their cover
Let us look at the word cover
The outer wrapping
Something used to hide the inside of a person, place, thing, or idea.
People act superficially in certain ways
Covering their inside
So by judging people in this manner
You judge a book by it's cover
